Community Information Support Victoria’s Innovation Award
Yesterday Greg had the pleasure of presenting Leanne Petrides with the Community Information Support Victoria’s (CISVic) Innovation Award, which our company Community Data Solutions sponsored.
Leanne’s work is delivered through Cranbourne Information and Support Service, and is truly innovative in bringing community services back into the community environs. The project delivers information, referral and advocacy from community locations such as Bunnings, local shopping centres, and are the first independent organisation to deliver these services from a local Centrelink office.
The outreach program is provided to well over 500 clients over the 70 sites visited, and the people who use this service report that they are highly satisfied with this accessible program. Outreach services like this are now being recognised as a crucial means of reaching “the most vulnerable of the vulnerable”.
